The “Valuation Practice in China” seminar was successfully held by IACVA Hong Kong Chapter on 28th October 2015 in Hong Kong. We are honoured to have CPA Australia as our venue sponsor and both the Association of International Accountants (AIA) and the Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies (CHKLC) to be our supporting organisations. An International Certified Valuation Specialist (ICVS) workshop was successfully held at Mudabala in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in April 2015. The 35-hour workshop was delivered by the Institute for Financial Analysts (IFA) to Mubadala’s employees and aimed at upgrading their knowledge of valuation principles and equipping them with hands-on expertise to apply the valuation practices and standards.

The fifth CVA Certification training class was successfully held from November 11 to 16, 2013, in China's earliest Special Economic Zones -- Shenzhen. This training course is jointly held by International Association of Consultants, Valuators and Analysts (IACVA) and China Appraisal Society (CAS).  Candidates from Zhejiang Province¡¢Hong Kong and Singapore took part in the week long training.
Our distinguished senior instructor, Mr. Robert Brackett, taught the foundational theories of business valuation.  He wished everyone good luck with their exams!

Mr. William Hanlin, the President and CEO of IACVA, met with candidates and shared his personal experience and real life cases with candidates during CVA case analysis course.  He also taught Introduction to Intangibles Valuation.  Both instructors encouraged candidates to utilize the IACVA world-wide network to develop their practices through participating local and global events.

IACVA HK Kong Chapter has been established in April 2013 to assist in promoting the best practices and professional standards in the business valuation field. To commemorate this important moment, IACVA HK chapter hosted a cocktail party at Louis' Steak House on Thursday, 14th of November.  Many of IACVA members in Hong Kong and executives from nearly 20 valuation firms attended the celebration.

At the beginning of the party, IACVA HK chapter representative, Mr. Brian Chiu expressed sincere thanks to all guests at the party. He then gave a brief introduction on the establishment and mission of IACVA HK chapter. Mr. Robert Bracket, Secretary General from IACVA headquarters, welcomed all guest to the gathering.  He reiterated the importance of cooperation among the members and local professionals in furthering IACVA's mission.  He pledged full support to the Hong Kong Chapter in the coming months in providing training and networking opportunities for all.
